Discover the most impressive bird sanctuary in Mauritius

Casela Nature Parks, which started as ‘Casela Bird Park’ in 1979, has always been home to the largest, most diverse bird sanctuary in Mauritius. Home to the iconic extinct Dodo bird, the island of Mauritius is paradise to many bird species among which many are endemic to the island. Casela Nature Parks has massively contributed to the preservation of endemic plants and animal species since its foundation in December 1979. It is the habitat of around 1,123 birds categorised into 74 species which includes the Mauritian Kestrel and the Mauritian fruit bats.
